Hi...remember me? Apparently all my bluster about making sure I do regular updates on the site was just that...bluster! Yeah, I suck. Anyhoo, I'm doing one NOW, so that's gotta count for something, right? ...right...? Ok, many thank yous to get to, starting with our good friends in White Rose Confession, and of course, Ilyaimy for their collective amazing performances last week. Amazing doesn't really do the show justice! I'm just glad the cafe is still standing...! Thanks also to Lars & Anders Vercelli, Ray Cooke for his first weekend performance, and of course, our very own house band, Uncle Rhubarb & The Hokum Hotshots. I know I've forgotten someone, my apologies. Feel free to send me a nasty email, and I'll make amends! Coming up this week, we have Jim Moorey on Friday night, followed by Robert Oakes on Saturday. Naturally I just noticed tonight that the events page was out of sequence, but hopefully people caught that little error! Our entertainment schedule is filling up rapidly, so be sure to check out the Events page for all the details. We have added Flood Stage: Open Poetry nights on the second and fourth Mondays of every month, so if you are poetically inclined, please come on down and share your stuff with the crowd. I am also considering bringing back the open mic night once a month - details coming as soon as I know what the hell is going on! Enuff for now, see youse at the cafe! Dave |
